It has been determined that emails from Rundle College are being delivered to Shaw mail customers but may be marked as junk or spam.
Shaw complicates the issue by not showing the delivery of these email anywhere outside of the Shaw web-client: https://webmail.shaw.ca. (For example if you are using Outlook to check your emails you won’t see my messages in the junk or spam folder in Outlook).
It is likely that more emails being sent by Rundle using a group email list might also be falsely flagged as junk or spam.
Please follow the steps below to rectify this issue.
- You must be logged into the https://webmail.shaw.ca webclient.
- To identify if you have any messages currently in junk or spam and mark them as legitimate emails:
- Right click the email and choose “Mark as Not Spam”
To proactively catch future emails that are marked as spam, without having to check the junk and spam folders:
-
- Select Preferences, then click Spam.
- The drop-down menu allows you to either have the junk email delivered to your inbox or junk, or to discard the messages. We recommend that you select the option labeled “Label messages as Spam and keep in inbox”
