If you are experiencing issues such as print jobs not appearing on the printer, or colour jobs defaulting to black and white, performing these maintenance steps will resolve the most common underlying causes.
Solution
Open Self Service
First, launch Self Service on your computer. For more details and instructions on how to open the app, please refer to this article.
Run the Reset Printers Policy
This policy will uninstall the printer drivers and then delete the Print-BW and Print-Colour print queues from your computer.
- In Self Service, locate the item titled Reset Printers
- Click the Run button under the policy
Refresh Printers via the Menu Bar Icon
Next, manually re-add the configured print queues and software to your computer.
- Click on the green printer icon in the menu bar near the top-right corner of your screen
- In the subsequent dropdown menu, click Refresh my printers now

Run Remote Policy Sync
Finally, synchronize your computer with the management server to ensure all device policies are up-to-date.
- Return to the Self Service application
- Locate the item titled Remote Policy
- Click the Run button
After completing these steps, wait about one minute before trying to send your print job again. If you are still unable to print, please submit a ticket to IT at support.rundle.ab.ca.
